After struggling for so long to get motivated to lose weight, my husband and I recently booked a holiday to Cape Verde off the coast of Africa and I decided, that was the sign I need to get off my butt and make a change before they start thinking there are beached whales on the coast! *oh no - I'm beached az bro*
Living in Norway, the long, cold winter has not made it easy to shift the blubber that hot chocolate by the fire and hearty meals, along with a severe reluctance to go outside, piles on!
So, I thought with a blog perhaps I would get some followers to share this journey with, keep my motivation up and stop me copping out after a week or so, unlike my other attempts! However, now my body is over 1/3 fat and 25% should be the maximum..it's definately time to make a change!
I am going to attempt to lose a half kilo a week (a safe amount to lose), so by the time my beach vacation rolls around hopefully I am 7.5kgs lighter (and hopefully with a lot less cellulite! I am not going to do one of those extreme diets that involves cabbage and starving myself - I love food too much to do that! Instead I am going to try a combination of low-carb eating, with only cereal for breakfast, healthy dinners and lunch/snacks of either salad or diet soup/shakes.
Aside from this I am going to do Zumba for an hour most days and have invested in blood circulating tights: http://www.scalabiopromise.com.au/ to wear underneath my clothes because I have terrible circulation and cellulite and I want my hard work to pay off! I have decided to start again on my diet on Friday, because on Thursday I will have some cakes...lol So yes I will start after that :) It's the pH-diet, for me it worked very well, actually brilliant combined with Herbalife. And it's not about starving to death, I eat allot :) When I stardet it last summer I lost 7 kilos in 3-4 weeks, well it's not about loosing allot of weight in the shortes time it's about feeling good. And I felt good, and I got slimmer. This was my little story. I look forward to follow your blog, get motivatet and to Zumba with you ;)
